Nathan Schenker is a graduate of the University of Virginia and William and Mary Law School. He is licensed in and has practiced law in both Virginia and Pennsylvania. He has been a trial attorney with the Chester County Public Defenders office since 1986 and has served as First Assistant Public Defender since 2004. In 2005 he received the Alan J. Josel advocacy award from the Pa. Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a Past President and current Board member of the Public Defender Association of Pennsylvania. Mr. Schenker is an adjunct faculty member at Widener University School of Law, West Chester University and Immaculata University.
Mr. Schenker is a long-time member of the Kennett Square Lions Club, having served several terms as President. He is a founding member of the Kennett Square Lions Club Morning Branch. In 2009 he was honored by the West Chester Pennsylvania Rotary Club with its Leader of Distinction Award. He has been a Board member of Camp Dreamcatcher since 2001 and has served as Vice President since 2006.
