DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF GENNIFER ROBINSON
Gennifer Robinson served as a counselor with our Leaders in Training (16 & 17-year-olds) at camp from 2019-2021. The passion she had in her work first as a HIV/AIDS case manager at the Harriet Lane Clinic at Johns Hopkins working with adolescents and young adults, and more recently as the HIV/AIDS Program Supervisor at the Bartlett Center, is hard to capture in words. Her sudden death this past August left all of us reeling with disbelief. She was FUN, energetic, brutally honest, compassionate, vibrant and lived life to the fullest. We honored her spirit at camp this past summer and invited her family to attend the Wish Log Ceremony to receive her Bundle which is full of photos and messages from the campers and volunteers. To honor her legacy, we have established the Phoenyx College Scholarship for college bound Leaders in Training.
DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF DELPHINIS “DELL” MERCIER
Dell Mercier, the father of long-time Camp Dreamcatcher counselor Jeanmarie Mercier, passed away on November 29, 2019. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dell’s memory to Camp Dreamcatcher. We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Dell’s family and friends, as well as our gratitude for their generosity to Camp Dreamcatcher at this difficult time. LESLEY DARMAN EQUINE & SMALL ANIMAL THERAPY PROGRAM
Patty Hillkirk’s sister-in-law Lesley Darman supported Camp Dreamcatcher in many ways and for many years. After her death this past December, her wonderful co-workers at Drury Design Dynamics decided to create a fund in Lesley’s memory to support equine assisted mindfulness therapy and animal assisted therapies. CHARLOTTE’S CIRCLE
Charlotte Bartlett, who was instrumental in encouraging Patty Hillkirk to create Camp Dreamcatcher in 1995, passed away recently. Charlotte’s spirit touched many hearts, and it is our hope to capture that spirit in “Charlotte’s Circle,” which will support the therapeutic programs and services offered by Camp Dreamcatcher. Over 5,200 Camp Dreamcatcher children and thousands of our volunteers have been touched by Mariah’s grace and unconditional love over the past twenty-three years.
